From January 2008, together with other fifty-six countries, Vietnam is conducting the second harmonized survey to monitor both the Paris Declaration and Hanoi Core Statement. This is a part of the on-going efforts to monitor the implementation of the Hanoi Core Statement as well as in participation in the global monitoring exercise in preparation for the 3rd Accra High-Level Forum. The preliminary results were communicated to the OECD/DAC Secretariat in April 2008 and thefinal results published in November 2008. Summary of progress and Initiatives in implementing the HCS

During March – September 2006, Vietnam has joined other 34 countries that receive aid participated in a groundbreaking survey to measure the effectiveness of aid. The 2006 survey has provided the global and country level baselines, identified challenges and distances to the Hanoi Core Statement (HCS) and Paris Declaration (PD) indicative targets as well as improved dialogue between GoV and donors and steer-headed the implementation of the HCS and PD in Vietnam. Quantitatively, the 2005 benchmarks in 9 committed HCS target indicators and 7 agreed PD indicators were derived. Click on appropriate links to view or download the results of the 2006 Survey:
